The Waste Tech project exemplifies a philosophy at BlueSky Studio: that a building ought to fit within the context into which it is built. In this case, an addition larger than the original building, designed by another architect, was made to appear seamless. A close inspection of this building yields few clues as to its history of construction.

BlueSky Studio provided programming and tenant space planning design. BlueSky Studio also accommodated the tenant’s needs to remain working uninterrupted during the course of construction. All finishes in the space were completely updated while allowing the tenant to retain existing furniture systems.

This project was developed in a “Design-Build” environment of collaboration between the owner, architect, and contractor that maintained, as well, all traditional contractual relationships.
